When I was studying Interactive Media at the Art Institute, I fell in love with video production and motion graphics. I found that it integrates very nicely with instructional design and training. In my previous role, I had the opportunity to create motion graphics for titiles, lower thirds and animations showing how products worked. I edited installation videos which covered everything from motorization to installation and operation. In addition, I created numerous Camtasia videos showing dealers, CSR’s and sales staff how to use interal software, LMS, tools, and other online resources. These assets were then integrated into larger courses.
Explainer video example Dealers weren't clear on how to select wand lengths. I created this video to clarify, using Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
Inspiration Video I designed this to showcase a newly released inspiration book. Created using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Camtasia: Screen Recorded Video One of my favorite tools when you need to create training in a hurry is Tech Smith’s Camtasia. It is very quick and effective when you need to design training for step-by-step tutorials. When combined with audio, it is one of the easiest training options available.
Animation Simple video animations are easy to create using Adobe Photoshop. Here is an example.
Photography started as a hobby for me. Then I started getting requests to take senior photos and the next thing I knew, I was taking photos for students, travel and business. It aslo served as my springboard into video!
